San Francisco 49ers rookie Ricky Pearsall has been placed on the non-football injury list following his release from the hospital. The former Florida Gators wide receiver received a gunshot wound to the chest during a struggle with a would-be thief in Union Square, San Francisco and is lucky to have escaped with his life. However, he’ll now be forced to miss the first four games of the season for the 49ers, even if he feels ready to return to action sooner.
